Moderna, a Boston-based company, has launched clinical trials for Covid-19 vaccine. Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine will be administered in two injections, 28 days apart. Below is an analysis of the expected timeline of countries including the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, Japan, and China to receive the Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine.

  • The US is expected to receive doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine by December 2020. According to Moderna, the US will receive 20 million doses by December, and additional 100 million doses by the first quarter of 2021.
  • New York expects to receive 346,000 doses, whereas Michigan expects 173,000 Moderna vaccines.

Canada

Japan

  • Japan is set to receive Moderna’s vaccine by June 2021. The dose is expected to be enough for the entire population.
